Fun Stuff

Here is some fun stuff:

Brotherhood 2.0
-- it's a video blog. After realizing that they communicated almost exclusively through text (email, IM, etc.) two brothers who live across the country from one another created a videoblog with the goal of 1 year of textless communication. They're funny. A good place to start (if you don't want to start back on Jan 1) is with their "Accio Deathly Hallows" post of July 18 and the ensuing madness. You can also find their videos on YouTube.

I discovered aforementioned vlog (that's what you call a video blog, which is what you call a video web log...) on another fun blog (web log), bookshelves of doom. There you will find lots of book reviews. I'm not ready to completely endorse all reviews on the site, but if I don't put up enough reviews for you, and if you want someone else's opinion on books, check it out. Also check out the cool t-shirts she sells. They might be the coolest part.

Last night Jacob and I watched "Wait Until Dark," the flick starring Audrey Hepburn. It's a good one. Suspenseful! Scary! But not too scary. At least that's what I think. I think lots of people should watch it. It is just plain ol' good filmmaking. Audrey Hepburn plays the blind Susie Hendricks -- a woman caught in the crossfire of dangerous criminals. Interesting fact: This was a play before it was a movie. That makes sense, because it takes place almost entirely in one house. Check it out!

Speaking of checking things out, right now I'm reading The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer. It's good so far. (I hope it stays good until the end, otherwise I'll be disappointed that it won a National Book Award, Newberry Honor, AND Printz Honor.) My mom probably wouldn't like it, but my brothers and dad probably would.

Fun Stuff!

No one has commented yet? Seriously? I guess I got too excited about the discovery of Brotherhood2.0 that I simply forgot. Maybe everyone else had the same problem. Its like ridiculous levels of nerdfighting awesome.
