Introducing...
The new look of the blog! Including new template, new colors, and new title! It turns out that I end up writing about books and doing reviews of them, mostly. I thought I'd change the title of the blog to reflect that.
And while we're on the subject of my book reviews, some of you may have noticed that of the 23 book reviews I have posted (in my long and illustrious career as a blogger) almost all of them are quite positive reviews.
"Why?" you may ask. "Why are your book reviews so positive?"
I'll tell you. It's because I don't read books that I don't like reading. If I pick up a book, and I'm not getting into it, I put it down again. With so many books out there that I want to read, why waste time with the ones I don't like? There's no sense in it at all. I hope that you, too, are free in this way. It is a step toward loving reading and becoming a lifelong reader. You're not going to want to read all the time if you're torturing yourself. So, do yourself a favor and stop saying "I can't read [insert name of book you want to read] until I'm done with [book that is uninteresting to you]," and start reading what you want to read. It's very empowering. And who knows -- you may be so excited about the books that you read that you'll just have to start a blog and post a little bit about each one. ;)
Long, long catch-up

Hey! Slick new look you've got there!
I've recently taken to this new philosophy. I read so many bad books at work, that I'm utterly devastated if I must read a bad book at home. So I don't. Except that rare book when I don't like it but it simply can't be put down. Those are the really bad ones.
Whoa, what do you mean books you don't like but can't put down? Can I get an example? I really can't imagine what you mean.
