School Update

Since this is my blog, I get to brag a little every once in a while. That is me, holding a certificate of excellence that I got from the Praxis Test people. They basically said that not only did I meet their qualifications to receive a UT teaching license, but I scored within the top 15% of all test takers in previous years.

And, I'm really proud of my grades for this past semester. It's been one of my hardest, what with being prego and all, so I was very happy to get two A's, two A-'s, a B+ and B. Rock on. Jacob impressed us all again by getting his usual string of straight A's. Did you know the lowest grades he's ever got at BYU were two A-'s? Grad schools are going to be drooling over him.

Speaking of grad schools, Jacob has applied for the Chemistry program at the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign, and is planning to apply to the UCSD on Jan 17th and probably the University of Arizona in February as well. UIUC is his first choice though, so we'll probably be headed east come fall.

There's your school update on the Stewarts. Feel free to leave generous and lavishing compliments in the comments.

Wow! I am way impressed (even w/ 4 A-'s). Way to go! A gal I used to work with is at UIUC... well, her hubby is. They were way excited about it & they really like it! Her book review blog is http://tweedlediva.blogspot.com/ if you wanna ask her anything about it... if you guys end up going there. I'm sure they could help w/ info on housing, wards, etc. Good luck! I hear waiting is the hardest part.

What specifically does he want to study in Chemistry?...you know there is a Chemistry program here at Princeton. Not that I know what they are good at or if it is a good fit for him etc., BUT it would be sooooooooo cool if you moved here!!!

Congratulations! Yay for good grades! I'm curious though...what are Jacob's A-'s? Anything besides impossibly hard chemistry classes? By the way, Champaign isn't spelled like the drink. Just for future reference...
