That ellipsis has replaced the word teeth. All my wisdom teeth are gone. Although come to think of it I do seem to remember saying something that made Jacob laugh and roll his eyes while I was on heavier meds. Couldn't tell you now what it was. So maybe all my wisdom really is gone too. . . . Nah.
I went under the knife on Monday. It is now Wednesday, and I look more the chipmunk than ever. But that's okay because the doctor gave me a paper that said that would happen. I'm pretty sure the next steps in recovery are to wean myself off of high alternating doses of ibuprofen and tylenol and to chew gum. Oh, also the paper says I should have lots of milkshakes. So that's my plan.

Just don't drink those milkshakes with a straw. You could suck out the blood clots and get what's called a dry socket. They are extremely painful (I used to be a dental assistant in an earlier life). You really don't want to deal with that. Glad the surgery went well.
Dry sockets are the worst! I had them with my wisdom teeth, so definitely follow Christie's advice!
I'm glad your surgery went well. Are you eating lots of yummy jello and mashed potatoes? I did.
I also can't believe you're not on more potent meds like Lortab. You must be a regular She-Ra. I was a wimp and baby when I came out of my surgery.
