Dirty Laundry

We've been doing a lot of laundry at our house.  Those of you with toddlers may not be surprised.  But wait.  It's not because Benjamin is a messy eater (and he certainly is).  It's not because he loves to play out in the dirt and mud and rain (though he does).  It is because Benjamin loves, LOVES, dumping laundry soap into the washer.

If we're downstairs, he'll drag his step-stool over to the washer and open it, and then point frantically at the soap.  If he's in his booster seat at the table and the laundry closet is open, he'll point at the soap and make dumping motions (this kid will always talk with his hands, I'm sure).  Or maybe he'll point out the "M" on the "arm and hammer" soap.  If we're upstairs, he'll spot a basket of laundry, start kind of wrestling with it, and say "down, down!" until we agree to sort it and put a load in.

Really, I'm not complaining.  It's been kind of nice to feel so "caught up" on laundry.  :)

could you come to my house for awhile? For more than just laundry, of course.

That's hilarious!! Hopefully this stage lasts a long time, and transfers to other chores.

Mom -- can you come to mine? to see my new baby in September? ;)

Leila -- I'm optimistic, he made me vacuum today. It was very cute.
